Mysterious Giant Egg Appears

On Monday 31st October a mysterious giant egg appeared on the school building! The egg was discovered by Mr Jacques early on Monday morning. Mr Jacques stated..

"The alarm went off last night but it was too dark to see anything, I came this morning and found this!"

The children in school are puzzled as to where the egg has come from and what might be inside. The mottled white egg sitting on a nest of sticks and feathers is causing quite a stir. The children reported hearing strange noises the night before. Teigan from class 3 heard a loud bang during the night...

"I was asleep in bed when i was woke up by a loud noise. It sounded like a big bang"

No-one knows exactly what the egg is but many have their theories, could it be from a bird, a dinosaur or maybe even a reptile? Ethan believes that it may be from a giant owl.

"Ive seen feathers like this before, they are the same as an owls with the pattern on them!"

Other clues were spotted by PC Liddy, who visited school at Lunchtime to interview staff and children. A collection of feathers was found near to the nest. PC Liddy stated...

"I have never seen anything like this, I think we need to investigate this further to find out what it is and what we are going to do with it."

An emergency assembly was held by Mrs Gratton to gather ideas of what to do about the egg. The children have been busy in classes researching and interviewing others to find out more.

Shirebrook Police reported the find on their twitter feed!
